Eli kyseinen ahto paineen säädin tuli asennettua lanciaan. selkeät asennus ohjeet eli helppo asentaa väärin.
asennuksessa meni kaks kertaa poikki paineletkun putki ohjaimen päästä ja kerran heitin jo suivaantuneena laitteen pitkin tallin lattioita.....
no loppuen lopuk päästiin kokeilemaan ja tulokset!
ei säätämälläkään paineet nouse niikuin pitäs...
no paine nousee kivasti kiloon ja kun vaihdat vaihdetta ni eipä nouse enää ku 0.5 asti.... että mitä vit...... ei näin voi käydä vai voiko???

Before you begin, you should have an idea of what you're aiming for. For EVOs, 19psi (131 kPa) seems to be a safe setting based on what people on the forums have found since it is close to what the stock boost pressure is, yet there is an increase in power due to the Greddy unit keeping the boost close to 19psi while the stock boost tapers off as the RPMs increase. I will henceforth refer to what you're aiming for as "desired boost pressure".
Definitions and things you need to know before you start:
SET This is how you set the boost pressure. Rather than setting it in psi or kPa, the Greddy unit allows you to adjust it as a percentage value, from 0% (greddy unit essentially turned off) to 100% (greddy unit will set the boost as high as it can). This setup demands a certain amount of trial-and-error to properly configure it since you have to make adjustments, then drive under WOT (Wide Open Throttle) and see what the maximum boost pressure achieved was throughout the entire RPM range. SET SHOULD BE SET TO A CONSERVATIVE VALUE WHEN BEGINNING TO TUNE YOUR GREDDY UNIT. 30% SEEMS TO BE A CONSERVATIVE SETTING BASED ON MY TESTING AND BASED ON OTHER REPORTED NUMBERS FROM EVO OWNERS AND TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION THE LINK BETWEEN SET AND GAIN (see GAIN below).
GAIN is defined in the manual as the value to adjust the "boost consistency". You don't really need to know exactly what that means. You should set GAIN to 0 when beginning, and you will then test the car under WOT while paying attention to the boost pressure. If the boost goes up and then falls off at higher RPM, you will want to increase the GAIN by a conservative amount (5% should be relatively conservative to begin with, then when you want to fine-tune it, you can go down to intervals of 1%). When you increase the GAIN value, the corresponding boost that you will go up to will be higher even if you leave the SET value alone. GAIN SHOULD BE SET TO 0 WHEN BEGINNING TO TUNE YOUR GREDDY UNIT.
START BOOST (also known as SET GAIN because that is what is displayed on the unit when adjusting this setting) is the lowest boost that the Greddy unit will begin increasing the boost from under WOT. You want this to be as close to the SET value as possible, since you want to keep as close to your desired boost as possible. However, setting it too close to the SET value will cause the boost to spike. You should set this to a conservative setting when beginning to tune your Greddy unit. Then you can fine-tune it later to get it as close to the SET value as possible without causing the boost to spike. Fortunately, you can set this in psi or kPa, thankfully Greddy didn't decide to let this be adjustable in % like the SET value. START BOOST SHOULD BE SET TO YOUR DESIRED BOOST PRESSURE MINUS 4 PSI (about 28 kPa).
WARNING is the maximum boost that you do not want to exceed. Fortunately, you can also set this in psi or kPa like the START BOOST value. When the boost exceeds the WARNING level, it will kick in the LIMITER, which decreases the boost a certain amount that you can set. WARNING SHOULD BE SET TO YOUR DESIRED BOOST PRESSURE PLUS 1 PSI (about 7 kPa).
LIMITER is the boost percentage that the Greddy unit will lower to when the WARNING boost pressure is hit. LIMITER SHOULD BE SET TO YOUR SET VALUE MINUS 4%.
PEAK is the peak boost value that the unit has seen since the last time it was cleared. To clear it, go to the peak boost display, and hold down the set knob until the unit beeps and "---" is displayed. IT IS A GOOD IDEA TO CLEAR THIS BEFORE YOU BEGIN JUST IN CASE YOUR UNIT HAS A HIGH BOOST ALREADY RECORDED.
LAST BOOST shows you the last boost that was recorded every time the accelerator is released for 3 seconds. TURN LAST BOOST ON BECAUSE IT IS A GOOD DIAGNOSTIC TOOL WHEN TUNING YOUR UNIT.
Keep in mind that when displaying in kPa, it does not show it technically in kPa, but rather misleadingly in bars, which Greddy inconveniently tries to justify by sticking x100 kPa next to the display. Therefore, 100 kPa will be displayed as 1.00 x100 kPa. Psi will also unfortunately be displayed in psi x10 so that 19 psi will show as 190, adding to the confusion.
Another very important thing to keep in mind is that when you first power on your car or the Greddy unit, WARNING will be set to 14.5 psi (100kPa, or 1 bar) until you interact with the Greddy unit by pressing any button. This "feature" is not documented in the manual.
Also keep in mind that atmospheric conditions affect the operation of your boost controller. When it is hot, you will get different results than when it is cold. One possible way of solving this issue is tuning your Greddy unit under the "Lo" mode for when it is relatively cold, and under the "High" mode for when it is relatively hot. Unfortunately, two modes are hardly enough for somebody that needs to account for very different summer and winter climates, and also for more aggressive settings for when increased performance is desired.
The maximum boost that you will see is also not consistent throughout the gears, which adds even more to the confusion. Unfortunately, if you've already increased your start boost to the maximum setting that doesn't give you surging, then there seems to be no way to get around this variance in boost pressure from low to high gears. I don't know if this is a limitation of the greddy unit specifically, or if it's something inherent to electronic boost controllers in general. The only two things that you can do to compensate is the following:
1. Set it to the "safest" of the settings that does not trip your limiter. To do this, tune the unit to your desired boost pressure in fifth gear.
2. Tune the "Lo" and "Hi" settings corresponding to having the boost maximized during the low gears and during the high gears. This would require you to manually hit the button to switch to the "Hi" setting when you shift to third gear or whatever you started tuning your "Hi" setting at. This is why Greddy makes the wireless remote switch that straps to your steering wheel to switch between "Hi" and "Lo" settings.
The following steps should be taken in exactly this order, taking into consideration all of the previous information:
1. Change boost pressure units to psi if so desired (see manual).
2. Set WARNING to your desired boost pressure plus 1 psi (about 7 kPa) (see above).
3. Set START BOOST (SET GAIN) to your desired boost pressure minus 4 psi (about 28 kPa)(see above).
4. Clear PEAK boost value (see above).
5. Set LAST BOOST to ON (see above).
6. Set GAIN to 0 (see above).
7. Set SET to 30% (see above).
8. Set LIMITER to SET minus 4% (26% if you followed #7).
9. Test for boost falloff at high rpm. You should probably do this in a wide open area with no other cars nearby and preferably no cops. It is also good to have somebody in the car with you that can watch the gauge while you concentrate on not wrecking your car. If there is no boost falloff, then go to #10. If there is boost falloff, then increase the GAIN by 5% and test again. Keep in mind that when you increase the GAIN value, the corresponding boost that you will go up to will be higher even if you leave the SET value alone. Repeat until the boost pressure does not decrease, or until you feel surging. If you feel surging and the boost pressure still decreases (not sure if this is possible) then decrease to the last level that you did not feel surging at.
10. Increase SET by 2% and adjust LIMITER accordingly, then test again. Keep increasing by 2% until desired boost level is obtained.
11. Increase START BOOST (SET GAIN) by 1 increment and test until surging is felt or the WARNING level is hit and the display turns red, then decrease to the previous setting.
Once you have followed these steps, you will have roughly tuned your unit. To fine-tune it, repeat steps 9 and 10 except this time only increase or decrease by 1 increment.[/quote]

I would like to know if you people play computer games? If you do, which games?
I have currently Far Cry and all Battle Fields + Desert Combat 0.8 Final Rel installed on my machine and if I have some extra time on my hands or just need to unwind, I play these games over the net. I also have one freeware car race game, which I downloaded after a recommendation by SilverR.
My computer is a workstation with an Intel 1.6Ghz processor with hyperthread support enabled. The system runs XP pro with full 512Megs RAM, 60 Gig hard disk. My display adapter is ATI rage pro 9700.
Although my computer has enough power for today, some of the games cannot be played with full detail because the graphics flow suffers from it.
What kind of computer do you have?
Video from Kalajoki Test and Tune day, that was held last saturday. Drag racing in Kalajoki airport. This was not official race but rather a test day for staff and timing equipment and a chance for people to test the performance of their street driven cars.
Fastest car was white \'65 Chevelle 11.1 sec / 198km/h (=124mph), with lots of traction problems.

Mulla on starletissa ollut Potenza S-03:t, joihin olen ollut kyllä todella tyytyväinen, nyt kun ovat reilun vuoden vanhat, pito rupeaa heikkenemään ja olisi aika vaihtaa kohta uusiin. S-03:ssa on oikeastaan ainoa ongelma se, että tahtoo vähän sulaa alle, ei pysty radalla siis hirveän montaa kierrosta putkeen ajelemaan. Bridgestonen uudemmissa, tuon tilalle tulleissa taas on kai vähän kovempi? kumiseos, joka kestää lämpöä paremmin, mutta sitten taas pinnasta irtoilee palasia.
S-03:sta enää käyttämässäni koossa (195-50/15) valmisteta, eli pitää etsiä jokin muu rengas. Bridgestonen muista malleista on kuulunut vähän huhuja, ettei yhtä hyviä ole, vaikkei nyt huonoimmasta päästä kuitenkaan. nykyään melkeen kannattaa panostaa hivenen enemmän noihin talvikumeihin ja hankkia ne nokian hakkapeliitta4:set

Juu, mulle tuli juuri mieleen itselläkin että R888 on ainakin pelkkään ratakäyttöön todella kova valinta. Kadulla voi olla mahdottoman äänekäs mutta pito ja rungon jäykkyys ovat vielä paljon T1-R paremmat. T1-R on roadsport-hyväksytty kumi ja sellaiset ehkä mullekin on myös Nissaniin tulossa.

Yokohamat pikaisesti testattu viime sunnuntain ratapäivillä, ei tuntunut ainakaan sillä kelillä (välillä viileä asfaltti, välillä märkä) toimivan juuri ollenkaan.
Jarrutuksissa pitoa ei juuri nimeksikään, tosi vaikea ajoittaa jarrutuksia.
Sivuttaispito aika heikko, lähtee luistamaan paljon aikaisemmin, kuin potenzat. Ei kuitenkaan ihan totaalisesti lähde alta, pienessä sladissa pystyy ajelemaan.
Varikolle tullessa renkaan pinta tuntuu \"jauhoiselta\", ei siis ole ollenkaan ruvennut sulamaan, ehkä tuo viileä keli vaikuttaa siihen. Kuumemmalla kelillä siis saattaisi toimia paremmin.
Onko jollain kokemuksia katuslikseistä kevyessä autossa? Kaveri kokeili välikoppa-escortissa michelinin katusliksejä alastarolla, mutta ei saanut niitä oikein lämpenemään kunnolla, mitenköhän tuollaisessa starletissakaan sitten lämpenee..

Riippuu jonkinverran katsastusmiehestä. Osa katsastusmiehistä ei edes huomaa tarkistaa koneen ahtamattomuutta (lukuun ottamatta rekisteröntikatsastusta), koska 99% autoista on siltä osiltaan kunnossa. Kun tuollaista hommaa tekee päivästä toiseen siitä autosta katsoo tarkemmin perus listan läpi ja ahdin ei vai ei, ehkä vaan ei kuulu siihen.
Onhan tuossa pieni riski joutua uusinta katsastukseen. Tuossa luultavasti on samanlainen homma, kuin ajovalojen pesureissa. Jos paikat pesureille on ne pesurit täytyy löytyä. Ehkä jos ahdin autossa on kiinni niin se täytyy tulkita kytketyksi, vähän sama kuin ilokaasulaitteet?
Jos kerran mekaanisesta ahtimesta puuttuu remmi, ja koneen imuilma otetaan muualta kuin ahtimelta, niin en ymmärrä miksei autoa saisi leimattua??? Itellä menossa vastaava projekti, ja tarkoitus olis käyttää ahdinta vain radalla ja muuten em. tavalla.
En ainakaan usko et menee läpi.
Mikäs muuten on auto mitä ei saa laillisesti ahtaa, eikös lähes kaikkien ahtamisen pitäisi onnistua myös laillisesti toiset tulee, vaan kalliimmaksi.

Kyseessä auto mitä ei saa lain mukaan ahtaa, konehuoneessa silti remmiahdin MUTTA ahdin ahtaa kyllä, ei vaan ole kytketty imupuolella, Meneekö katsastuksesta läpi? moraali saarnaa en kaipaa.
Laillisuudesta en osaa sanoa mutta voithan selittää jotta asennus on käynnissä ja ahdin tullaan muutoskatsastamaan sääntöjen mukaan kun on saatu asennukset loppuun ja säädöt kohdilleen. Tiedän että tuolla verukkeella on saatu vuosikatsastus läpi ainakin kertaalleen yhdessä 90-luvun BMW:ssä. Seuraavana vuonna joudutkin käymään toisella konttorilla... (Ko tapauksessa siis ahdin oli konehuoneessa ilman hihnaa ja moottorin imupuolta ei oltu kytketty ahtimeen)

Viimeisinpään peliin olen ollut erittäin tyytyväinen. Ton pyöräkortin ajelin 10v sitten samassa missä ajoin auto ja kuorma-autokortin. Sillon sen tään selvis yksillä kirjallisilla ja 2-ajokokokeella nythän se pitäs ajaa 3-ajokoetta jos ajaa kerralla noi.
GSX1300R on aika vakuuttava MP menneisyys. Varmaan pystyy jo hyvin arvioimaan tilanteita kaksipyöräisen sarvista :)
Aika suzuki voittosta on kalusto ollut tähän mennessä ainakin siis sulla Jkorpi.

Itse olin niitä viimeisiä jotka saivat vielä A-kortin kaupan päälle ajokorttia suorittaessa. Monta vuotta sitten kokeilin kaverin kevaria, joten kovin kokeneesta kuskista ei voida puhua. :)

Mun eka mopo oli Tunturi Super Sport kun olin 10v. Sillä tuli riehuttua pihamaalla niin että vanhemmat ja naapurit repivät hiukset päästänsä... 2-tahtisen päpätys on kyllä pitemmän päälle ärsyttävän kuuloista. Skootterilla tuli ajeltua 15v -> 17v. Mieli tekis hommata pyörä kun korttikin on taskussa mutta se lompakko... Joskus sitten!
5 vuotiaana sain ekan mopon joten nyt kun 28 tulee kelloon niin 23 vuotta.
muutama (vajaa) vuosi jäi väliin loukkaantumisten takia!
Minä sain ekan mopon 12 vuotiaana ja sitten, kun olin 13 sain hommattua Suzuki ER 125 katuenduron.. Kortin lykkääntymisen johdosta sain piikkikortin vasta 17 vuotiaana, mutta siihen mennessä olin ajanut jo 125:lla 4- vuotta. Yamaha TZR oli itselllä 2 vuotta jonka jälkeen siirryin oman turvallisuuteni takia nelipyöräisiin. Tämän jälkeen moottoripyörillä olen ajellut vain niin lyhyitä lenkkejä ettei hurjastelu ota valtaa...

Jep, olen joskus kanssa ihmetellyt noiden kyytiä. Mietin aikoinaan sellaistakin systeemiä että olisi tälläisellä kiertävällä koneella pyörittänyt keskipakoahtimen kompressoripuolta (tai turbiinipuolta niin, että se turbiinin tuottama ilma olisi jäähdyttänyt pientä moottoria) ja kompressorin tuottamalla ilmalla ahtanut henkilöauton raatoja joihin ei viitsi rakentaa parempia ahdinsysteemeitä, sekä tuollaisesta mahdollista suihkuturbiinin startteria.

Sifteri ei häiritse vaihteiston normaali käyttöö
No niin vähän uutta käyttö kokemusta Pro Shiftistä on tullut. Ja kaikki positiivista
Lyhensin vaihto aikaa ja hämmästys oli suuri. Normaali ajossa vaihteet menee päälle kuin ajatus. Ei nykäse, ei ronksu, ääni vain muuttuu kun nappiin painaa. Hmm... tuntuu että vaihtaa nätimmin kuin minä. Ja eteneminenkin sujuu ihan törkeeseen tahtiin. Veto tuntuu olevan päällä koko ajan. Ihan kuin ajas automaatilla.
Fi valoonkin löytyy lääke, \"kalikka\" joka asennetaan johtosarjaan saa FI valon lopettamaan turhat vilkuttelut. Hmm.. muuten -05 mallissa tätä juttua ei esiinny Pro Shiftin kans. Suzuki on muuttanut ruiskun toimintaa parempaan suuntaan viritys käyttöö aatellen.
Tosin mitään haittaa valon syttymisestä ei ole, ei vaikuta mitenkään koneen toimintaan.
Oman FI valon neutraloin \"hiilikuitu teipillä\" siihen asti kun kalikka tulee.
Jos haluut jotain tosi herkuu niin voin suositella Pro Shiftii.

What is a hybrid turbo?
A hybrid turbo consists of two turbochargers. In such case the compressor and turbine are in different turbochargers, which leads to the desired result. Usually the turbine function is taken from the smaller turbocharger and the compressor function from the larger one.
What does the A/R ratio of a turbocharger mean?
The smaller the exhaust inlet (A) to the turbocharger is, the faster the exhaust gases rotate the turbine wheel. A small A/R ratio results in quick compression but the turbocharger also begins to tighten quickly which reduces the maximum pressure. A small A/R ratio also increases the undesired counterpressure of the exhaust gases. A correct A/R ratio is always a compromise between good engine responsiveness and high power.
What is a wastegate?
A wastegate is a valve, which opens at a certain boost pressure, letting some of the exhaust gases go past the turbocharger. In such case the turbine slows down, levels the boost pressure and prevents it from increasing too much. A wastegate is so far the best method for regulating boost pressure.
There are two kinds of wastegates, internal and external. An internal, i.e. integrated wastegate is built inside the turbocharger. An external wastegate is a separate device. Generally, smaller turbochargers have internal wastegates whereas bigger ones have external wastegates.
How does a wastegate really work?
A wastegate is a valve which lets exhaust gases flow past the turbocharger. The wastegate controls the exhaust gas flow past the turbocharger compressor and thus regulates the rotation speed of the turbocharger and the boost pressure produced by it. The wastegate valve is controlled using intake manifold air pressure.
The wastegate is not an on/off type valve. Instead, if it is adjusted for e.g. 1.0 bar pressure, it may start opening already at 0.7 bar. In practice this means that the acceleration of the turbocharger starts slowing down already at 0.7 bar, thus the time it takes to achieve maximum pressure increases.
What is a bypass valve?
Dump valve, bypass-valve, diverter valve, pop-off valve, dump – a dear friend has several names. To clear up the matter, the terms are generally used as follows: A dump valve is the valve which discharges pressure (dumps the air) whereas any valve redirecting the air flow back to the inlet side of the turbocharger is called a by-pass valve. Other naming conventions should be discarded entirely. This would make discussion with other people significantly easier.
The idea of the valves is to discharge extra pressure, when the throttle is closed (e.g. when changing gears). If a by-pass valve or dump valve is not used, the turbo may react more slowly and pressure shocks may damage the turbocharger.
When the throttle is fully open, the turbocharger rotates at about 150000 rpm and when the throttle is released e.g. when changing gears, the turbo is not stopped immediatelly. Instead, it continues to rotate, albeit at a slowing pace. Higher pressure is built in front of the throttle valve than there is around the turbocharger. Because of the difference in air pressure, the pressure wave in front of the throttle valve is sent towards the turbocharger. When the pressure wave reaches the turbocharger, the turbo is still rotating but now air flows to the wrong direction through the turbocharger causing pressure shocks to turbine wings. These shocks also cause the tsi-hi-hi sound (also familiar from rally cars). The pressure shocks may damage the turbocharger and at the same time reduce the rotation speed of the turbo. When the throttle is again fully opened, the turbocharger reacts more quickly if it still rotates at a higher speed. The dump or by-pass valve is therefore used to prevent this pressure wave by discharging compressed air either outside with a dump valve or to the inlet side of the turbocharger using a by-pass valve.
The operation of the valves is similar to each other, both are controlled using the inlet manifold air pressure. Both valves are also available as diaphgram and piston type. In general, piston type valves are more durable especially at boost pressures above 1 bar. The valves are spring-loaded in order to keep the valves closed and pressure controlled from the inlet manifold. The inlet manifold pressure is used to control the valves. When the throttle is released, a strong vacuum is created in the inlet manifold, which keeps the valve open and the boost pressure is discharged from the throttle valve. Especially dump valves require enough spring load to keep the valve closed e.g. at idle speed and driving at low rpms. When driving highway speeds at low rpms, there may be a 0.2 bar vacuum in the inlet manifold and e.g. 0.5 bar pressure in the compression tubes. This requires strong enough spring loads to prevent the valve from opening too early. In such a situation the vacuum in the inlet manifold tries to pull the valve open and the pressure in the compression tubes tries to push the valve open. If the valve is opened, for example, at idle speed, engines with air flow sensors do not work properly because of the air leak. In such case air leaks past the engine air flow sensor and thus the ECU receives faulty information about the air amount. In addition, if the dump valve is opened at idle speed or low rpms, there is a risk of dirt or debris penetrating the engine through the valve.
It is advisable to install a by-pass valve to engines with an air flow sensor, because they don’t mix up the operation of the ECU although the valve was slightly open in some situations. Almost all modern turbocharged cars have a by-pass valve installed as standard equipment.
Valve type selection should not make much difference to the operation of the turbocharger. In cars which have a turbocharger installed afterwards or cars which have neither valve installed, a dump valve is easier to install, because it only requires a t-connector in the compression tube. For a by-pass valve, however, air must be directed in front of the turbocharger which means some additional connections. The best results are achieved by installing the valves as close to the throttle valve as possible. This is the most efficient method to prevent pressure waves.
Where does the “tsihihihi” sound heard when changing gears in a turbocharged car come from?
It is NOT the wastegate.
The sound is created when the compressor rotates at a high speed and the throttle valve is quickly closed. In such case the compressor continues pumping air but since the rotation speed of the turbocharger decreases, air pressure drops immediately after the compressor. At the same time, the compressed air between the turbocharger and the throttle valve collides with the throttle valve causing the air pressure to increase in front of the throttle valve. Because of the difference in air pressure, the air flows backwards to the compressor colliding with the compressor wings rotating at a high speed. The sound is heard when air flows between the compressor wings and throttle valve. This continues as long as the throttle is again opened. Because the rotation speed of the turbocharger decreases all the time, the frequency of the sound decreases continuously. Although it is a nice sound, it may damage the turbocharger bearings. All of this can be prevented by using a dump or by-pass valve.
What are MAS and MAP sensors?
MAS = Mass Air-flow Sensor. MAS measures the air mass.
MAP = Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor. MAP measures the air pressure.
What is knocking?
Engine knocking means premature ignition of the fuel/air mixture in the combustion chamber. Normally the mixture is ignited with a spark plug a little before the cylinder top dead center (TDC). When the engine is knocking, the mixture is ignited before the spark plug ignition, which causes uncontrollable combustion which in turn may damage the combustion chamber/piston. Premature ignition may be caused by too high pressure, hot carbon deposit or a sharp edge in the combustion chamber. The tendency of an engine to knock depends e.g. on the shape of the combustion chamber, boost pressure, running temperature and the location of the spark plug in the combustion chamber.
Why must the engine compression ratio be decreased when installing a turbocharger?
This is related to the knocking tendency of combustion engines. More power can generally be output from an engine by using a higher boost pressure and a lower compression ratio than by using higher compression ratio and lower boost pressure.
Why do we need an intercooler?
An itercooler is used for cooling the inlet air before it is directed to the combustion chamber. When a turbocharger compresses air, its temperature rises significantly. At the same time air density decreases, which means that the air weights less. Because high density means a large amount of oxygen, it is advisable to try to lower the air temperature as close to the starting level as possible before directing air to the combustion chamber.
The increase in air temperature has nothing to do with the method of compression, i.e. the temperature of the turbocharger is irrelevant. The temperature of all gases (including air) rises, when their pressure is increased.
Another reason for using an intercooler in addition to the free horsepower is to decrease the risk of knocking caused by hot inlet air. This is also one of the reasons to be able to use higher boost pressure with an intercooler than without one.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of an intercooler?
The advantages include higher engine efficiency, lower NOx emissions and better engine reliability.
Disadvantages are practically restricted to the fact that the intercooler and its hoses take up quite a lot of space. A big intercooler does not necessarily mean long turbocharger delay, in fact it is caused by a too small intercooler especially if the inlet tubes are too small.
The boost pressure is slightly decreased in the intercooler. This is caused by flow resistance in the intercooler. All flow resistance cannot be removed because air has to flow inside the intercooler for maximum cooling effect. If the flow resistance is too high, however, power may be lost. A loss of 0.1-0.2 bar in boost pressure in the intercooler is normal and allowed.
How can I adjust/increase boost pressure?
There are several methods to adjust boost pressure depending on the boost pressure control system.
With an integrated wastegate, boost pressure is adjusted with a rod between the controller and the flap. If the rod is not adjustable, it can be replaced with an adjustable version or cut to the desired length and welded together.
Another alternative, used also with an external wastegate, is to adjust the spring tension required to open the valve/flap. This is done either by replacing the spring with a stiffer one, by adding a couple of washers under the spring or by building a threaded rod (if not already available) with which spring tension can be adjusted.
Furthermore, boost pressure can be adjusted by artificially dropping the boost pressure in the wastegate control hose. This can be done by using a pressure regulator valve.
In new cars which are computer controlled, the best method is to forget extra tricks and instead buying or ordering a new computer chip. The new chip has higher boost pressure, higher fuel supply and correct ignition advances preprogrammed.

CLS55 AMG is taken to Finnish driving schools slippery conditrions
practise. It's mandatory when getting a permanent drivers license to go drive the slippery conditions training. It includes braking from different speeds and evasive moves on straight and in curve. ESD and others are switched off if it's possible.
CLS55 is doing the evasive moves from 60kph and 40kph and not performing really well.

Jotkut on laittanu pienten reikien päälle alumiini teipin ja sitten kitti, pohjamaali, pintaväri, jne.... Jos ruostetta jää, niin ruosteensyöjä tai
joku sellainen (saa esim. biltemalta n. 8€ purkki) joka reagoi ruosteen kanssa ja tekee siitä kiinteän. Itse olen käyttänyt Sikkenssin kittiä joskus, joka oli helppo hioa ja aika edullista.

Pakkeli, koritina... muitakin vaihtoehtoja voi olla.
nii ja minkäs merkkistä pakkelia ne ammatti maalarit käyttää? ja kummoselle pohjalle mun kannattaa se pakkeli levittää? siis hionko iha pelti puhtaaks vai vedänkö jonku pohjamaalin alle????
eli mikäs olis helpoin ja varmin tapa tasottaa kylkilistojen "urat" vai mikkä ne ny on...???

120 pictures, i was there and these guys are all very nice people, the second link is an air picture of the track. It is locally called the mini 'ring, because of the forest and big elevation differences.

Same M3 this sunday in a sprintrace on the same track. Standing start, 2laps, time counts. Fastest by 10 seconds in the road lega class, and beat also the track cars by 7seconds.
